Behind the Designs

Two Moons Design Co. is the product of a lifetime passion for art and design.

As a child, Allison's answer to "what do you want to be when you grow up?" was always the same: Artist. She was raised in a crafty family and made art throughout her life. But it was always just a hobby.

In 2020, Allison purchased an iPad and Apple Pencil and began dabbling in digital art. Once the pandemic began, and with lots of newfound time on her hands, she finally took the first real step in achieving those childhood dreams. She started an Instagram page and began commissioning custom illustrations but resisted the urge to formalize things and launch her own brand. Until now.

Two Moons Design Co. combines Allison's love of minimalism and classic design with contemporary themes and ideas. Art has always been an outlet for her - a space to express herself and explore creativity. It's also an opportunity to create meaningful, personal pieces that feel truly unique. We are so excited to share that passion with you, and hope it shines through in everything we create here at Two Moons Design Co.

Behind the Brand

The name Two Moons Design Co. is inspired by the saying "Don't judge a man until you have walked two moons in his moccasins," a message from one of my favorite young adult books by Sharon Creech.

That phrase has stuck with me over the years, reminding me to lead with empathy and intention (and it even inspired a tattoo!) When crafting this brand, I wanted that same sense of thoughtfulness and intentionality to be at its core.

That, and I just really have a thing for the moon! ☾
